We will work collaboratively to identify barriers and what’s holding you back, strategies to increase your ability to thrive, and ways of working toward new goals to keep the growth moving.
While Recovery Coaching is often utilized by folx in recovery from substance use disorders, know we consider recovery holistically.
If you identify as being in recovery or considering recovery, we are here for you!
We can support you if you’re in recovery from:

Recovery Coaching is different than therapy and different than sponsorship.
The Recovery Coaching relationship serves to help you determine your goals, guide your healthiest self, and set goals to help you thrive, not just survive.
Recovery means many different things — for one person it may be total abstinence from substances; for another, it may mean a healthier relationship with alcohol. It might mean releasing trauma, learning new skills, or maintaining and sustaining healthy behaviors.
We will help you define what recovery means to you and will focus on your strengths and goals for healing.
FAQs
What’s your experience with recovery?
Because we define recovery rather broadly and holistically, we see pretty much everyone, including ourselves, as being in recovery from something. A recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser can utilize many of the same techniques as someone who is in recovery from alcohol or heroin use.
To us, recovery is a process of identifying unhealthy behaviors, releasing the shame related to engaging in those behaviors, and building the needed empowerment and support network to engage in healthier, values-driven behaviors.
We’ve worked with people in recovery from substance addictions since 2014. We’ve facilitated group therapy as well as peer support groups for those in recovery and also work from a strengths-based, recovery-informed lens with all our individual clients as well.
What if I’m still using/engaging in unhealthy behaviors?
We’ll continually assess your level of safety and co-create a plan that includes signs that you’ll need a higher level of care/where our recovery coaching sessions are not enough support.
However, know that complete abstinence from unhealthy behaviors is not required to begin recovery coaching, and we’re comfortable working safely within a harm reduction lens when appropriate.
Where is your office?
We’re working virtually only for the foreseeable future, which means you get to join wherever is most comfortable! We do expect you to be in a private space with no one else in the room. For some folks, that means they take calls in the car, which is totally cool as long as the vehicle is stopped, of course.
