Our Approach

Our approach to Body Image Coaching is rooted in self-love practices and understanding the systemic impact of things like diet culture. 

We will work collaboratively to identify what skills and education you need to reach your goals and release external expectations of your body 

While Body Image Coaching is often utilized by folks in recovery from eating disorders or disordered eating, know we consider recovery holistically.

Body Image Coaching is different from therapy.

The Body Image Coaching relationship serves to help you use self-love as a tool to help you respect and care for yourself. 

Body Image concerns can be complex since they can impact multiple aspects of daily life. The collaboration between you and your coach will help you more quickly identify what skills and education you need to reach your goals and maintain your relationship with yourself forever! 

That being said, we do not follow a strict Linehan approach. This allows us to treat each client as an individual and makes the experience much more personal.

What’s your experience with body image?

We’ve worked with people in search of better body image since 2014. We’ve facilitated individual therapy as well as peer support for those in search of self love and also work from a strengths-based, recovery-informed lens with all our individual clients as well.

What if I’m still engaging in behaviors that aren’t supporting a better body image?

We’ll continually assess your behaviors and co-create a plan that includes signs that you’ll need a higher level of care/where our body image coaching sessions are not enough support. 

Where is your office?

We’re working virtually only for the foreseeable future, which means you get to join wherever is most comfortable!

We do expect you to be in a private space with no one else in the room. For some folks, that means they take calls in the car, which is totally cool as long as the vehicle is stopped, of course.
